Biography

In 2019 we introduced the pitch competition at The Conference formerly known as Conversion Hotel. We wanted to give new talent a chance to get on the keynote stage of our event. It’s hard for new presenters to get to the inner circle of experienced CRO keynote speakers. A lot of conference organizers don’t take risks and keep on inviting the same group of experts (which does make some sense though: they deliver and attendees want to see them).

We always believed that the knowledge of our combined audience is bigger than the knowledge of the speakers on stage, which is also why we schedule so many unconference sessions and a lot of social time. The gold of this conference is also in the attendees. We asked Michael Aagaard, CRO legend and speaker coach to guide some of them in a presentation and a pitch of this presentation for the full audience. Winner of this pitch competition is getting a main stage slot and the runner-ups will get a dedicated presentation slot in the break-out sessions.

In 2019 Daphne Tideman was thé runner-up of the competition, receiving lot’s of compliments on her pitch and also at the talk she performed in the break-out sessions. She grew further and became the Head of Growth at Heights in the UK. She also kept on publishing great stories on the goals she and her team are reaching at this company. Knowledge sharing, dedication and passion for our industry made me say yes when she reached out for a speaker slot this year!

Daphne will be sharing her story on the principles you need to engrain in your team to drive growth (and yes: this should motivate you to enter our #CH2021 keynote pitch competition, as you can see – it can get you on main stage). I’m really looking forward to have Daphne as speaker and can’t wait to listen to her learnings.
