The Jungle of In-house Experimentation

Biography

At The Conference known as Conversion Hotel, we love to feature practitioners who experiment on experimentation itself. People who challenge assumptions, refine systems, and make the science of testing even more scientific. That’s why I’m thrilled to announce our next keynote speaker for November 21/22/23, 2025, on Texel Island:

Melanie Mueller – Senior Product Manager Experimentation at Booking.com. For over 11 years, Melanie has helped shape one of the world’s most advanced experimentation cultures. From senior data science roles to leading the product behind Booking.com’s in-house experimentation platform. A physicist by training and data scientist at heart, she turns complexity into clarity and empowers thousands of colleagues to make better decisions through data.

The Jungle of In-house Experimentation

Our 2025 theme, “Explore the Jungles,” challenges us to navigate the wild terrains of optimization. And few jungles are more intricate than in-house experimentation at scale. In her talk, Melanie will share how Booking.com maintains experimentation quality while running thousands of concurrent A/B tests, and how her team even experiments on the experimentation process itself.

Melanie’s story is one of rigor, empathy, and continuous learning. She’ll show how democratized testing can thrive when guided by strong systems, clear principles, and a culture that values quality over quantity.

Join #CH2025 to explore The Jungle of In-house Experimentation with Melanie Mueller, and learn how to keep your testing culture both wild and wise.
