Apr. 15: Joanna Wiebe
After our #CH2020 kick-off session on November 20th, we asked our attendees what topics they would like to have for the upcoming keynotes. In the top 3: copywriting. And of course, as optimizers we don’t just mean copywriting, we want to learn about conversion copywriting.
Conversion copywriting has always been one of the favorite topics of the Conversion Hotel attendees. I still remember the 2016 keynote of Amy Harrison on why someone should choose you. I know that many of the people that took her workshop still apply her copywriting framework.
It’s time for an update because 2016 is many years behind us. Who else to ask than the person who coined the term Conversion Copywriting? The founder of Copyhackers Joanna Wiebe. I’ve seen this wonderful woman from Canada on stage at many events abroad and have been asking her to fly-over to the Netherlands for many years now because she always impresses me with her lessons. The good thing from this virtual year is that she finally accepted because this set-up saves a Ton (pun intended) of travel.
“I fell into copywriting. Just totally tumbled in, head over feet. I didn’t like the word “copywriter” when I first started – so I went by “creative writer”. Big mistake. That must’ve set me back a good 3 years. Now I know that COPY is awesome, and copywriters are the best-kept secret in the sales and marketing world.”
The best-kept secret in the sales and marketing world! I’m happy to finally have Joanna as a speaker at our event and I’m looking forward to her talk.
