Abi presting? Yes! Abi presenting! Isn’t that the one that has been taking the notes on all keynote speakers in the previous years to turn them in an amazing PDF that highlights all great content shared at the event? Yes that is her. Now she will be on stage (who will be taking notes?)
When did you meet Abi? Long time ago, can’t really remember when exactly, must have been some UK event – but in those days she was known as the best person to hire for really good QA. Amazing skills to check every detail on what’s broken digitally. And I always liked people that just say it as it is – like Abi. Fun sense of humor and also a knowledge library on accessibility.
Why did you invite Abi? I pitched Abi for a speaking slot at the Coversionboost event in Copenhagen Denmark last March. I believed that event needed some fresh speakers from outside their country and that Abi deserved the opppertunity. Lot’s of nerves of course, but she nailed it with in depth content on how to really do proper user research. Loved the story – and told her: you need to climb the #CH stage so people can meet that side of you.
What will her topic be about User research! Diving into the real user behavior, experience the user behavior. Too often overlooked by experimenters around the world – this is what will get your number up and to the right, because garbage in – is garbage out.
