#CH2026: David Swinstead

Demystifying Experimentation Maturity

Biography

Demystifying Experimentation Maturity. What works for Booking.com or Amazon might be the wrong next step for your organization. David explores what to focus on at different stages of an experimentation program, from running your first test to operating at scale. Drawing on more than 20 years of experience, he challenges the assumption that everyone should follow the same playbook and helps you find the next step that fits your reality. Please meet one of the keynote competition winners of #CH2026:

David Swinstead, an Experimentation Program Lead at eClerx, with experience spanning organizations at very different levels of experimentation maturity. From running the first A/B test at Dickies UK to spending ten years at Booking.com, he has experienced both getting started and experimenting at scale. That range gives him a practical perspective on which advice helps, when it helps and when it simply does not fit.

David has attended Conversion Hotel before. You have probably seen him: the tall British guy, living in the Netherlands, trying out jokes on the people around him. This year, he gets a microphone and a full room to work with. Fortunately, he also has plenty of experimentation experience to share!

David won this keynote spot by applying for the keynote speaker competition when he signed up as a #CH2026 attendee. He recorded his pitch video and was selected as one of the four winners of a main stage slot. Ahead of the conference, Michael Aagaard will coach David to fine-tune the storytelling and delivery of his talk.

Enjoy David on stage at #CH2026, and David: thank you for applying!
