#CH2026: Demet Dagdelen
Biography
Many of us are experimenting with AI. A prompt here. An agent there. Some automation. Maybe even a workflow that saves us a few hours every week.
But what happens when AI stops being a tool and becomes part of the infrastructure of how a company grows?
I first connected with Demet Dagdelen in 2024 while looking for people leading experimentation and growth inside European organizations whom I had somehow never met before. A year later, when organizing the first Future of Experimentation meetup in Porto, Demet immediately replied with a simple: “Yes, I’m in.” Luckily, we ended up in the same small group during a city walk. While discussing the future of experimentation, I learned more about the fascinating work Demet has been leading at Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com, WooCommerce and Tumblr.
With her background in data science and machine learning, and now as Vice President of Growth and AI Systems, Demet is helping build the foundations that power growth at scale. Think in-house AI capabilities, machine learning platforms, geo-experimentation, email automation, and the systems that connect them all.
Most of us see AI through the lens of individual tools, Demet sees it through the lens of infrastructure. How will AI, machine learning, agents, experimentation, and automation become embedded into the technology stacks of modern organizations? What will companies build themselves? What will become standard? And what are we getting wrong today?
Those are exactly the questions I hope Demet will help us answer while Demystifying Agent-Ready Growth Infrastructure.
Demet, thank you for joining us on Texel. I’m looking forward to hearing your perspective on where growth organizations are heading next.
